What a Sale

I love to go to Kirklands, better known as a knick knack store, however, don't go often, because, the one closest to us, is quite a jaunt.  When I was in Clarksville, Tn earlier this month, there was a seemingly new one on the way to Walmart, so I ventured in.  Everything, it seemed was on
sale and it was difficult to decide what to buy.  Of course, everyone loves Hobby Lobby, so had to make a stop there too.  The dishes were from HL as was my vase find that is  below.

Here are some other items, I just couldn't pass up.

Is anyone obsessed with all things  fleur de leis besides me?  Of course, I know part of my obsession is because I am from Louisiana and even our football team uses the logo.
This is just a simple little candle holder but for $4.00, I couldn't resist.

Sorry for the out of focus look.  More of shooting without flash!

I bought the little dish towels, thought the monogram was so cute.  Everyone around here calls me Mama and not Mary Ann, so that fit too.  The pot holder plaque  was $1.20 so, how could I resist.  I am sure this won't be the only use over time for it.

If you have read my blog before, you know about my crosses on the dining room wall.  I found these in TN too, and really loved them.  The plaque only cost something less than $2.00  and the crosses in the same range.  I thought they were lovely, just haven't got hubs up to hang them as yet.

This is the container that I showed you at Christmas with poinsettias.  My brother made it for me and now it contains sunflowers, one of my favorites.  If you are wondering why so many of the same item, I was using different camera settings.  Someone told me to turn off my flash and this is the result, the ones above with flash and the one below without flash, what do you think!!!

This was my bargain of the day.  I saw it and wanted it  but went home without it.  Got to thinking and went back the next day.  It is the color of our newly painted walls and goes right with our sort of Tuscan theme.  Originally, it was $49.95, and I found it on the clearance aisle for $17.00.  It has one little chip off of the edge which you can see on one of the pictures.  The chip was in the bottom of the vase, so it was an easy fix and it wouldn't even show.  When I was checking out, I asked the man if he could give me another discount since it was chipped,  and he gave me another 10%, so I got this lovely vase for $15.00, proving it doesn't cost anything to ask.

This is a pretty little fleur de leis candle holder that was a steal at $3.00.  So many things were marked down and then if the sticker was green, there was another 25% off.
I also bought several cute things for the garden but more about that later.

Here's wishing you a great "rest of week" and some great bargains too.

Thanks so much for stopping by and if you leave a comment, many more thanks!

Hi, Mary Ann..thanks so much for coming by.
Yes, I know white or creme walls aren't for everyone. My daughter likes the colors, too.

I love all your Kirkland things. It's one of my favorite stores, too. We have one close and I check out their sales regularly.:))
hugs, bj
Oh, and I am signing up to follow you. :))
