March,as usual, came in like a lion. We have had some really crazy weather. One day, its 80, the next day it flurries. Guess the whole country is experiencing this kind of stuff. We have had lots of cloudy rainy days so that helps the water table which they say is still low. Just hope we don't have an awful summer like we've had the last two. I had my six month checkup last week and for the first time in my life, my blood pressure was low, even had to lower my medication. I guess all the quilting I've been doing has helped mellow me.I did get a quilt sent off last week to be quilted, now just have to make the matching shams, but since I've started working with hexies, I can't stop. They are addictive, oh well, I was warned. Hope everyone has a great week, Spring is on its way!!

Quite a busy day. I made gumbo for our youngest granddaughter. This is her birthday week and she always wants me to make gumbo. Debra made her cute cupcakes and with a houseful of family, it was pretty festive. I went to get my hair done this morning so, after some months, I am a redhead again. I have had two respiratory infections and strep throat since Christmas, so my hair was certainly not a priority. Now that we can quit whining about flu, strep, etc., we can now whine about our allergies which come along with the wind "blowing across the plains" here in Oklahoma. Sure hope you all have a lovely weekend, supposed to rain here, and we aren't complaining.

It's March, I can't believe it. Another fairly mild winter for us here in the Midwest. It's been really crazy, some days 70 degrees and then the next day it will snow. The weathermen just can't seem to get it right. I haven't been doing anything of notice, mainly working on my quilts. I even got one mailed to the long arm quilter today. I can't wait to get it back. I started it in the late summer but when I had my hand manipulation and problems, the quilt went on the back burner. Now, I'm ahead of the game and have a gift that will be ready for Christmas this year. I also, have the blocks made for a quilt for one of our Granddaughters. It was to be a wedding gift in Sept. Maybe, I'll get it to her by their first anniversary. It's so hard to finish projects when new ones crop up all the time. The new spring fabrics are out and so sweet. I have to show restraint, as I haven't even finished the first quilt I ever made. I wish now that when I started to quilt that I had started a diary with fabric names and pictures. I have no idea how many I have made in the time since I started quilting a few years ago. Hope you have a great rest of the week!!
