Opera Company of Philadelphia "Hallelujah!" Random Act of Culture

Take 5 minutes and watch and listen to this.  If it doesn't get you in the Holiday Spirit, nothing will.

Still

Yep, that's still me, almost a week now.  Finally gave in yesterday and went to the DR.  I now have meds for brochitis, sinus infection, inflamed ears and throat, just feeling pretty lousy.  If I am not better over the weekend, have to go back on Monday.  I am still coughing pretty bad, so we'll see.
Have a great weekend, one and all.  Hope to get back to blogging soon.

Yuk!

The crud has hit around here.  Quinn hasn't been able to go to school since Monday.  He coughs all night.  And now, I have it coughing, wheezing and just feeling  bad in general.  I am like Quinn lay down and immediately start coughing.  Tonight is our philharmonic concert, but I just can't go.  Am afraid I would start coughing and not be able to stop.  We do enjoy these nights so am disappointed I can't make it.

Sure hope no one else gets it.  Quinn and I are trying not to forget to cover when we cough!

I am going to keep a low profile until I get to feeling better.  In the meantime hope you all have a great and "well" weekend.

Finally Done or is it

A few years ago, I began to like the color red, whereas before I never liked it.  Maybe it was because some disgusting people saw fit to call me Red when I was a kid and teenager and needless to say, I hated it.
Recently when the remodeling project began, I had trouble deciding what color we should paint our bedroom.  We've had white ones, blue ones, beige ones and lastly a dark green one.  Then one day, I thought red and I decided that if we were going to do it, we'd better start it now at the ripe old age of 80 and 74.

So, this past weekend the project was finished and here is the proof.  I love it.

These are new pictures I bought on the 50% off day at Hobby Lobby!

The furniture is really rather large, but the room is quite big too, so accommodates it well.
Our 50th Wedding Anniversary pillow and throw.

I use lots of hat boxes to store things such as scarves, gloves, hair "singies" (as Chelsea used to say!

This is our little fridge in the corner where we keep juice, water, cokes, etc.
I still have a few more  pictures to hang as you can see stacked here.

This door leads to our bathroom.  Haven't decided yet if we will paint it red too.

Next project, get this closet organized.

My stash of books that I need to get busy and read!

I wish the pictures were better, sorry for the mirrow flashes and really poor quality in color.  I am asking Santa for a new camera for Christmas so maybe picture quality will improve.

Allie ready for football

Poor Allie, she doesn't know if she is supposed to be for OU or LSU, but the consensus here is OU!
So cute in her OU cheerleader outfit.
