Starting a blog

Several years ago, I discovered blogs. I read one about an Irish family which I dearly loved and one called New York Hack which I found terribly interesting. From there I ventured on to Rosie O'donald's blog, which proved to scare me to death about blogging. I knew I could never get it all down, figure out what I wanted to say, and most of all, there is no one out there who cares about anything an "older" woman would have to say. Rosie had camera shots I knew I could never figure out, along with all the graphics, etc.

Most of all, I don't really have much to say. My children are grown and I have grandchildren age 23 to 2 and possibly more gb's ahead, and I know I have ggkid's on the way. More about that in a later post.

Maybe some of you will be interested in what the future has in store, as far as life situations go. So here's a mini view of what has transpired as far as late in life goes. My husband and I recently celebrated our 50 wedding anniversary and somehow still seem to love and care for each other. We sold our home in another state and moved to the mid=west, better known as the heartland of America this past year.

This move meant leaving children, (do you still call them children when they are in their 40's)? Yes, I guess they wll always be our children. Maybe here I should tell you a little about our "children!" Our eldest is a daughter, a much longed for, and enjoyed first born. Before her, I lost 2 babies, a miscarriage, and a little boy that never would have survived due to defects caused by measles when I was pregnant. So, when this blonde, blue-eyed girl came along, we felt like we had really done something. Twenty-two months later we were blessed with a son and figured then our family was complete and how lucky we were to have a boy and a girl, one of each, so to speak.
