Japan

Mother Nature had her way with Japan while we slept. How sad, and the people must have been so frightened. I can't even begin to imagine how you feel with one of those monster waves coming toward you. During the Viet Nam war, we lived in the Philippines and lived through several major earthquakes, one registering 7.6 on the rector scale, and we were 100 miles from the epicenter. I can just remember how terrified I was. Those islands in the Pacific are just sitting ducks for those tsunamias, so it seems.

I feel for these people and pray for their recovery.

New Computer

I got my new laptop yesterday and wow it is so much different than the old one.  It is definitely going to take some getting used to.  I will try to post tomorrow and add some pictures.  So far, picture transferring has been a real challenge.   Bear with me, I’ll get this figured out.  Won’t I ?

CRASH!!!

Well remember when I told you I was having computer problems,  my laptop gave up and out.  Did you hear it go down in flames?  You probably did, but just didn't know what it was.  I should have my new one sometime next week.  Until then, I just grabbed Debra's while she was watching a movie.  I probably won't be back until the new one is set up.

 In the meantime, enjoy warmer days and spring is on its way, even here in Oklahoma, although, no green grass as yet, however, trees have that green shimmer.

New Background

As you can see, I have a new background. I got tired of the red and am ready for St. Patrick's Day. My favorite color is green so its a great season for me.  And, for the person who complained about the PC Tech exceeded blog pop-up, I figured it out today, so  i t shouldn't give you any problems in the future.  Sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused you.  (To clarify, the complainer was one of my daughters!)
We are in Shreveport, got here on Tuesday, rain is coming. They've been having great weather until we got here, typical.
Of course, my computer won't go online here, so I am using son's which has firewalls for confidentiality issues due to his practice and use  at home.  I am very limited as to what I can do on it.
We will be here for at least another week, so blogging will be scarce, I'm sure.

I am having trouble blogging.  I don't know if the trouble lies with my computer, browser, internet, blogger, etc., etc., etc.  It is impossible to read blogs, because,  I can't just go from one to the other, it takes several minutes to shut one down and open another one on google reader.   We have been having trouble with A Verse, so maybe that's it.   Is anyone else having issues, maybe I just need a new laptop!

No, I didn't.  Some years Hubs gives me flowers or gifts, but not this year, and after all these years, it's perfectly okay with me.

2. What is your favorite topping on something toasted?
Butter and then a little more butter, not margerine, the real thing, BUTTER!

3. Do you pick out your outfit the night before?
Of course, when I was employed outside of the home, I sort of decided what I would wear the night before.  Since I retired, I am happy if I even get dressed.  Whoever invented sweats is my hero.

4. What food item do you absolutely despise?
Baked fish, I know its good for you, but I ain't doin it.  Fried very crisp, maybe, baked, not happnin!

5. Righty or lefty?
Right handed!  What is wrong handed?

Valentines Day

Hope everyone has a sweet happy Valentines Day.

I know I have been among the missing for a couple of weeks, but I just have really had writers block.  We've been inside for almost two weeks with big snowfalls and record breaking low temperatures and frankly, I just haven't had anything to write about.  Haven't really had any projects to write about.  Hubs has been very sick with bronchitis and an earth shattering cough (anyway it seemed that way).  After a shot and three prescriptions he is on the road to recovery and we are at least getting some sleep at night.  Did you know that lack of sleep due to coughing, either yours or someone elses, leads to extreme crankiness.  I just had no idea!!
