Back

Well, I know its been ages since I have been here.  The remodeling is down to our bedroom and since we have such big furniture and so much of it, it has been a challenge.  Luckily, however, we have not had to spend a night out of our own bed yet.  It is almost done and I can't wait to get it all settled.  We ended up painting the bedroom  a dark rich red.  At first I thought it was going to be too much but now that its finished it looks really good with the wide white baseboards and shoe molding.  I finished redoing the curtains today and got them back up and got all the furniture waxed and cleaned.  Now I can't wait to get the new comforter out and maybe that will happen by the weekend.  The technical parts should be finished tomorrow which means I can get the closet back together.  The stairs are next and last to do with the wood.  Then its on to do new tile floors in 3 bathrooms and paint and new floor in the pantry/utility room.  The tile jobs may wait until after the holidays.  At least now there is light at the end of the tunnel.

We had company last weekend.  Granddaughter, Lauren and hubby, Randal, came for the weekend and of course, little Allie came too.  She has grown so much taller and talks up a storm.  Here are a few new pcs of her.

Purple Wednesday

Did you remember to wear purple today?  Let's do away with bullying right now.  It has gone on forever but doesn't need to continue.  Let's all show our spirit and wear purple.

Up date on the remodeling

The remodeling is coming along.  The project is finished downstairs with the exception of getting closet doors back up.  The work is now in our bedroom.  We are painting from white to a nice wine/burgundy/dark red.  I can't wait to get it finished.  I've bought a new red and gold comforter and can't wait to get it all finished.  I am terrible about taking before pictures but will try to get some tomorrow.  In rhe meantime, please don't give up on me.

Great Grandbaby Allie coming this weekend.  Can't wait to see her.  She's two now and I'll bet is growing so fast.

Columbus

Here are some photos I took in Columbus Ohio.  I really liked it there, the old houses and neighborhoods with brick streets.  Shopping was outstanding.  We drove through German Village and ate lunch at a wonderful German restaurant.
